Vanity's Doily
mixed media 3’ x 6’ x 2’ This is a video work of a human doily performed by synchronized swimmers. The image was projected on a vanity where a doily is often put. Part of the video image is projected on the backside wall, and some of the swimmers dives down the wall in the beginning, and swims up at the end. I also got “spill over” of the water onto the floor. I wanted to express that our life is vanity. 2006
